Mission

As charged by the U.S. Secretary of Energy in 2014, the Department of Energy (DOE) Project Leadership Institute (PLI) program enables and sustains a culture of project management excellence across the entire DOE Complex.

Vision

The DOE Project Leadership Institute increases the successful outcome of DOE high-risk projects by building a culture of project management excellence and developing a network of successful project delivery practitioners across the entire Department of Energy complex.

Values

Project Excellence: PLI believes that high-risk project success is dependent upon leaders whose technical and professional skills give them the knowledge and personal capabilities required to lead. 

Teamwork: PLI is convinced that project success relies on teams working collaboratively across organizations to solve problems and achieve mission success.
